23rd April 2015
The 17-year-old Youth Captain of Barnet FC was announced as the Player of the Year at last Friday’s 2015 Barnet FC Academy Dinner held at The Hive. The club, partners and local business community all came together to celebrate the successful season and help raise funds to support them in their future endeavours.
Harry has been with the Academy since the U15s. He is strong defensively both in the air and on the floor and often plays out of defence by looking to attack space and break lines with his passing. Harry made his first team debut in July 2014 during the pre-season friendly against Luton Town.
Sponsored by Savills estate agents, the evening was also attended by the entire U18 squad as well as a number of their parents following an excellent season, which saw them crowned as Football League Youth Alliance South East division champions.
Following a three-course meal, a memorabilia auction then took place with all proceeds going towards the Academy before guest speaker Ray Parlour took to the stage to entertain the room with stories of his time playing for both Arsenal and England. The evening was then rounded off with a prize raffle giving away prizes that were donated by friends of the club and sponsors.
