Patrick Kibble teams up with MB Partners

17th October 2018

MB Partners are delighted to announce the signing of young, British driving talent Patrick Kibble.

The talented 16-year-old is fresh off the back of a hugely successful season in the Ginetta Junior Championship and joins the sports management company’s impressive array of professional and young driving talent as he looks to take the next step in his promising junior career.

2018 has seen Patrick competing at the tight end of an ultra-competitive Ginetta Junior field where he collected one outright victory and nine outright podium finishes on his way to finishing in 4th in the Drivers’ Championship. As a rookie and with limited pre-season testing, Patrick’s results proved all the more impressive as he ended the season as Vice-Champion in the Rookie Championship, notching numerous rookie wins and podium finishes along the way. Highlighting Patrick’s ability his race win at Thruxton was only his sixth race in a car, in the previous 10 Ginetta Junior seasons, only three drivers have taken a race win in fewer starts.

Prior to his Ginetta Junior participation, Patrick enjoyed prolonged success across an eight-year career in British and European karting. Competing across the karting ranks as a ‘privateer’, Patrick’s junior success was made all the more impressive by the lack of comparable data from teammates to utilise.

MB Partners' CEO and former Formula One star Mark Blundell is delighted to welcome Patrick to the company’s driving stable.

“Patrick’s results this year speak for themselves and he has a very impressive racecraft for someone so young. Upon first meeting Patrick, I was impressed with his mature and sensible outlook on his racing. This will stand him in good stead for what promises to be an exciting time ahead.”

Barry Mears, MB Partners’ Motorsport Manager, has been tracking Patrick for some time and is looking forward to helping him achieve his future aspirations.

“The Ginetta Junior Championship has been great to watch this season and Patrick has stood out throughout despite his limited experience. He has a very natural approach behind the wheel and that coupled with his clear-minded ambition bodes well for the road ahead.”

Patrick himself is proud of his efforts this year and is looking forward to the successes and challenges that lie ahead alongside his new team.

“I have loved every minute of this season and now is the right time to join up with MB Partners as I look to build on this momentum. Mark, Barry and the team have been very successful in helping other young talents through their junior careers right into professional motorsport at the highest level and now it is up to me to try and follow in those footsteps!”
