Bent Viscaal will enter his second season in the FIA Formula Three Championship as he joins MP Motorsport for the 2020 season.

The talented Dutch 20-year-old from Albergen will form a Dutch allegiance as he joins Dutch racing team for the 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship, looking to reap the benefits of a promising debut season in the Formula 1 feeder series.
Bent Viscaal is no stranger to the team from Westmaas, Holland, after he made his single-seater debut with the team in 2017 when he entered the formula ranks in SMP and Spanish Formula 4.
"It's nice to return to the old nest for my second season in the FIA F3," said Viscaal. “MP Motorsport showed good things last year in the FIA F3, with the highlight of course being the victory in the FIA Formula 3 World Cup in Macau. We had a strong relationship together in 2017, and a positive outing at the official tests last year, so we will be looking to continue that momentum into this season.
The FIA Formula 3 Championship is an extremely competitive series and last year was a real learning curve for me. I hope to take everything I learnt last year and build on it for a strong campaign in 2020.”
"I would like to say to Bent: welcome home!" says Sander Dorsman, MP Motorsport Team Principal. “In 2017 we achieved great results together in Formula 4. In 2020 our plan is to be just as energetic as in our first year of cooperation. I am looking forward to another season with Bent. ”
“2020 is a big year for Bent and he is extremely motivated to get to work with MP Motorsport.” said MB Partners’ CEO, Mark Blundell. “The atmosphere amongst the team fills us with confidence that Bent is in the best place and that he will be able to extract the best out of himself, the car and the team so he can fulfill his potential.”
After a successful kart career, Viscaal debuted in motorsport in 2017 in both the SMP F4 and the Spanish F4 Championship with MP Motorsport - finishing as vice-champion in both series with a total of nine victories.
In 2018 he was again second in a championship, now the Euroformula Open. Viscaal also seized the rookie title with force majeure. Last year, Viscaal made his debut in the FIA F3 with HWA, with fifth place at Circuit Paul Ricard being his best result.
