TOM'S RACE REVIEW
“Sorry to the team for my accident in FP1, that put us on the backfoot and meant the day was an uphill battle from the start. They did a great job to get me out for qualifying so a huge thanks to them. We were unlucky with the conditions in qualifying as the rain started on my flying lap so the grip wasn't there to get further up the order.
"Starting behind the safety car removed any of the risks involved with the first lap and meant I could just focus on moving up the order where possible. I had a great battle with Cassidy throughout the race, you couldn’t really split us up even with the two attack modes but it's a tricky circuit to overtake on so we knew the plan going into it was to just stay out of trouble and grab the opportunities where we could, which I think we managed really well.
“P10 and my first points finish of the season is a really positive result for us all considering how the day started. Hats off to the team for all their hard work today - I’m confident that we can have an even better day tomorrow and hopefully score some points with both cars.”
