Charlie Martin claims podium finish at Oschersleben

  • Charlie and Team Driverse made their debut in ADAC GT4 Germany

  • The team endured a tricky Saturday, retiring from the first race

  • They returned on Sunday and qualified fifth in class for the second race

  • An excellent stint from Charlie helped secure third place in the Trophy class

  • The result marks Charlie’s first podium finish in only her second race

“Firstly I’d like to say a huge thank you to all of the team, I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved this weekend. Yesterday didn’t go according to plan but we kept our heads high and came back today determined to have a much better result.

“Sandra’s efforts in qualifying meant we were in a good place heading into the race. She did really well during her stint so I knew a podium was possible if I controlled my stint. The car felt great so I just kept plugging away and putting in the lap times we needed to stay ahead of the T3 Motorsport guys behind.

“As a new team, to finish on the podium in our first weekend of competition is just amazing. We’re still learning our way and know where we can improve but we’ve worked so hard to get ourselves on the grid and prove what’s possible so I’m over the moon. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for us!”
