Following a successful campaign in the Britcar Endurance Championship in 2021, Charlie joins the IMSA package to race at some of the most exciting circuits in the United States.
Alongside Laguna Seca, Charlie will also race at the Ozarks International Raceway in Missouri on May 20-22, Watkins Glen on June 24-26, Road America on August 5-7 and Virginia on August 26-28. The Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Finals will then be held at Portimao circuit in Portugal on November 2-4.
“I’m incredibly excited to be joining the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America series with Dream Racing,” Charlie said. “It’s a competitive and thrilling championship and it will be a great challenge and one that I’m very much looking forward to. I’ve got to know Jason very well over the past couple of years so it’ll be great to work with him on this programme. We’ve enjoyed some positive pre-season testing so I can’t wait to get started!”
“We’re really pleased to be announcing our plans for this year,” Jason added. “Charlie and myself have a really good working relationship and I’m sure that will benefit us throughout the season. To see it all come together is exciting for all of us and we’re looking forward to a great season of racing together.”
Mark Blundell, CEO of MB Partners, concluded:
“It’s great to see Charlie’s 2022 campaign taking shape. She enjoyed an excellent year in 2021 so it’s brilliant to see her taking a well-deserved next step and joining such a championship as competitive as Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America. Charlie is a tenacious racer and I have no doubts at all that she will enjoy plenty of success alongside Jason this season."
