Foster aims high at Snetterton

Fresh from his winning weekend last time out at Donington Park, which saw him move to third in the championship standings, Louis Foster heads to Snetterton Circuit full of confidence ahead of the fifth round of the BRDC British F3 Championship.

The Copart-sponsored driver had the measure of the field to record his second victory of the season at Donington Park and occupies third place in the championship standings as a result, with 224 points. The 17-year-old is also the highest-placed series debutant.

Taking to the track at Snetterton, Louis will be aiming to repeat his successes so far which have seen him claim two further podium finishes alongside his victories. The Poggesi-supported driver will also look to channel his experience of the Norfolk circuit where he recorded a double podium finish in the Ginetta Junior Championship in 2018 as well as three top-ten results in British F4 in 2019.

There will be plenty of points on offer with four races scheduled to take place around the 2.969-mile Snetterton 300 circuit. As the second-longest track on the calendar, Snetterton provides a unique challenge for drivers - combining a tight, twisting and technical infield section with two fast straights and the long, sweeping right-hander of Coram.

Louis Foster:

“I’m looking forward to hitting the track at Snetterton. Coming from the win at Donington, I feel really comfortable in the car and I’m confident about my chances this weekend. It's a key weekend with four races on the bill so I'll be giving it my all to maximise our results. The track itself is challenging but really rewarding when you get it right - the variety of low, medium and high-speed corners is quite unique. The weather forecast looks pretty grim but we’ve had plenty of testing here so we should be able to get up to speed fairly quickly!”

The weekend’s action gets underway with qualifying at 10:45 on Saturday morning, followed by the first two races of the weekend at 13:10 and 17:05 respectively. Continuing into Sunday, race three is scheduled for 09:30 with the final race at 13:20 on Sunday afternoon.
