The 2022 DTM championship returned to Lausitzring in Germany
A spirited Esmee continued to make gains in her Lamborghini Huracan GT3
Qualifying P28 for the opening race, a strong effort from the 24-year-old saw her climb a total of ten places on Saturday to record a season-best finish of P18 at the chequered flag
Buoyed by her strong opening performance, Esmee enjoyed a similarly positive performance on Sunday to rise from P28 on the grid to P19 by the end of the race
Looking ahead, Esmee's next outing takes her to Imola in Italy for round three of the championship on 17 - 19 June
ESMEE'S RACE REVIEW
“I'd like to say a big thank you to all of the team for their hard work once again. We're continuing to make progress in each session and we can be pleased with our performance this weekend to make our way through the field and showing good control to avoid the chaos around us in both races. The pace is continuously improving despite the limited seat time we've had and that puts us in a good place heading to Imola - I'm looking forward to getting back out there."
