Jake Hill sets his sights on more success at Silverstone

Jake Hill and Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport head to the home of British motorsport to tackle the Silverstone National circuit as the himself amd the team look to keep the podium momentum rolling into round nine of the 2023 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship. Jake in his WSR-run BMW 330e M Sport will make the trip to tackle the 1.6-mile National configuration of Silverstone. Featuring the famous Woodcote and Copse Corners and the challenging Brooklands complex the venue offers plenty of overtaking opportunities around each lap. Last time out at Donington Park on the GP layout, Jake battled hard across all three races to secure a brace of podium finishes, resulting in a healthy points haul for the team. Jake and the team have good memories of Silverstone, securing a race victory in 2021, which was followed up with a race win and a podium finish in a fantastic display of driving ability from Jake in 2022 which would also see him set the outright lap record for the circuit in the midst of his final race charge that day. Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport and Jake Hill head into the penultimate round of the season 3rd in the Drivers’ Championship on 300 points, 20 points behind reigning champion Ingram and a further 62 behind leader Sutton after collecting four wins and six podium finishes across the season so far. Jake will be looking to continue to close the gap in the championship fight this weekend as he aims to score big points and fight for race wins and podiums. The action on track will begin on Saturday with a pair of free practice sessions being followed by the usual qualifying format at 15:35, which is available to watch live on Youtube and ITVX. Being 3rd in the standings, Jake's hybrid allows him 5 seconds (per lap) in qualifying and three laps of hybrid use through race one - with the results of races one and two setting the hybrid allowance for the following race. All three races take place on Sunday, with live coverage available on ITV4 and online at ITVX. The three races are scheduled for 11:30 (BST), 14:25, and 17:10 respectively. Live timing across the weekend is available here. "I can't wait to hit the track at Silverstone, we had some great success here last year with the victory, podium and lap record! We need to keep the momentum rolling into these last two rounds of the season and I'll be giving it everything I have to be battling it out at the front of the field once more." "The team have been working hard this season to really dial the car in with each passing round and my 330e M Sport has been feeling fantastic so I'm raring to go this weekend." - Jake Hill
