Jordan Love claims pole position and yet more silverware in Valencia

Mercedes-AMG Junior Driver, Jordan Love, put in another stellar performance in round four of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup in Valencia with another pole position and brace of podium finishes to keep himself firmly in the championship fight with one round left contest.

Jordan would once again be joined by Alain Valente behind the wheel of the #77 Haupt Racing Team Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the Silver Cup classification, and the pair looked to continue their strong form from the previous round at Hockenheim on the Mediterranean coast. Friday's practice sessions saw substantial delays due to heavy rain, but once the conditions improved, Jordan and the team took to the track and gathered substantial running. Jordan would be elected to qualify the car in the opening qualifying session of the weekend and he would deliver a fantastic lap to claim his third pole position of the season. Saturday's racing action would see an intense battle for the lead of the Silver Cup class and Jordan would lead up until the pit window, where they would drop to second in class. Alain battled hard to chase down the leaders, but would ultimately cross the finish line in second place to secure yet another podium for the #77. Sunday's action saw Alain on qualifying duties and he would collect P4 in a closely knit session which saw the top four in the Silver Cup separated by a tenth of a second. In another strong performance from the driver pairing, Jordan and Alain claimed yet another second-place class finish as they navigated the race successfully to take to the podium once more. The latest results from Valencia see Jordan sitting in third in the Silver Cup drivers' standings as the championship reaches an exciting conclusion. "It felt great to claim two second place finishes this weekend! Can’t complain with some silverware but we definitely wanted more. The fight is on for the championship with one round to go, so we will be pushing hard in that final round. A massive thank you Haupt Racing Team for all their efforts and to Alain Valente for an amazing effort all weekend yet again. Bring on Zandvoort!"

Jordan returns to GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup action when the championship heads to Zandvoort for the final round of the championship on the 14-15 October 2023.
