BRANDS HATCH INDY CIRCUIT
ROKiT BRITISH FORMULA 4 CHAMPIONSHIP - ROUND TWO
6-7 MAY 2023
The weekend saw Kanato Le head to Brands Hatch where he claimed his maiden single-seater victory in round two of the ROKiT British Formula 4 Championship with Hitech GP.
Kanato got his weekend off to a fantastic start, securing a spot on the second row for races one and three after qualifying in P3.
The success continued after Kanato was able to fight his way into the lead of the opening race to claim his maiden single-seater victory in just his fourth British F4 race, finishing 1.609 seconds ahead of his nearest rival.
Sunday’s reverse grid race saw Kanato start towards the rear of the field. He made good progress once again in tricky conditions, finishing in P13.
The third and final race of the weekend saw Kanato add to his points tally, taking his total for the weekend to 33, finishing the race in P8.
Following the opening two rounds of the ROKiT British F4 Championship, Kanato is currently 8th in the Driver Standings with a total of 50 points.
There are two weeks until the third event in the ROKiT British F4 Championship calendar when the drivers reconvene at Snetterton in Norfolk on 20th and 21st May for three more championship races.
"It was great to pick up my first single seater victory. After qualifying in P3, I knew I had the pace to challenge for the win. It was good to take the chequered flag in P1 in only my fourth race in the British F4 Championship. It was a tough weekend with the changing weather conditions and numerous incidents and safety cars, but we battled through it and made it a weekend to remember. I'm looking forward to Snetterton in a couple of weeks where I hope to build on this success. I want to say a big thanks as always to the whole Hitech GP team, especially my mechanic Tyler, and Jonny. Thank you also to Elliot Harvey and MB Partners for their continued support."
