Kanato Le Set For F4 UAE Trophy Race At Abu Dhabi Grand Prix F1 Weekend

  • Young Japanese racer Kanato Le will compete in the non-championship UAE F4 Trophy race with Hitech GP this weekend at the iconic Yas Marina Circuit in front of the F1 paddock.

  • The 5.281- kilometre Yas Marina Circuit consists of 16 corners with a 1.2km straight between Turns 5 and 6.

  • The weekend will consist of a qualifying session on Friday which will decide the grid for Saturday’s encounter, and the fastest lap recorded by each driver in this race determines where they line up for Sunday’s curtain raiser to the F1 Grand Prix.

  • Kanato's schedule sees him take part in a 45-minute free practice session at 10:15 UAE on Friday to kick start the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, followed by a 30-minute qualifying at 18:30 UAE.

  • Race one will begin at 12:20 UAE on Saturday where Kanato Le will get his first taste of an F4 race.

  • The final race of the weekend will get underway at 11:40 UAE on Sunday.

“I'm really looking forward to taking part in my first F4 race this weekend at the iconic Yas Marina Circuit with Hitech GP. It's a really amazing opportunity to be racing on the same weekend as the F1 paddock. I've been working really hard to reach this point so it's exciting that it's finally here. I'm excited to be starting my journey with Hitech GP this weekend. With such a strong F4 team behind me, I am confident that we can have a successful weekend. Thank you to everyone at Hitech GP, MB Partners, Elliot Harvey and my family for their amazing support and guidance.
