Kanato Le wins at Snetterton

  • Japanese racer Kanato Le returned to the top step of the podium as he secured a race victory at round seven at Snetterton

  • Kanato kick-started his weekend in fine form as he secured his best qualifying results of the season - securing a front row start in second place for race two and a fourth place for the first race of the weekend

  • Starting from the second row in race one, Kanato delivered a fantastic race performance as he progressed up the order and into the race lead with some brilliant overtaking manoeuvres

  • However, with just one lap remaining, victory was cruelly snatched from Kanato as he was taken out by another competitor

  • Kanato was able to continue but had to settle for a 9th place finish at the flag in a race that he deserved to be the winner of

  • Starting from the front row in race two, Kanato was locked in a tight battle for race victory with the top five positions constantly changing

  • Delivering a fantastic and mature performance, Kanato got the edge on his competitors and took his second race victory of the season

  • Starting from pole position for the final race of the weekend, Kanato avoided any dramas and bagged some strong points as he crossed the finishing line in 5th place whilst also picking up another rookie podium

  • This weekend's showing sees Kanato remain 8th in the Drivers' Championship with 226 points - with Kanato occupying 3rd in the Rookie Cup

  • The Japanese racer is back in action in a fortnight's time, as the Ginetta Junior Championship heads to Thruxton for round eight of the campaign (August 27 - 28)

“Really happy with the weekend, race winner for the second time this season and some really good pace! We had a strong qualifying, then deserved a win in race one but unfortunately, we had that stolen from us. I was really pleased to bounce back in race two and get the win after some tight battles on track. It was a great points haul this weekend which will help in the championship, now we need to keep the momentum rolling into Thruxton. I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Elite Motorsport, MB Partners, Elliot Harvey & Jake Hill for all of their help this weekend!"
