MB Partners are delighted to announce that Kiern Jewiss and Douglas Motorsport have renewed their race-winning partnership as the 17-year-old embarks upon a fresh assault for the 2020 BRDC British F3 Championship.

Having enjoyed a storming second half to his maiden campaign in Britain’s premier single-seater championship in 2019, Jewiss and Douglas Motorsport are looking to build on the Kent-based youngster’s fourth-placed Championship finish last year.
Having enjoyed a hugely successful debut campaign together in the Ginetta Junior Championship in 2017, Jewiss and Douglas Motorsport renewed their acquaintances last year as the youngster made the step up to BRDC British F3 following his British F4 title success in 2018. The pairing claimed success once more as Jewiss enjoyed one win and nine podiums as he finished the year in 4th place and as the Championship’s highest points scorer across the second half of the season.
Determined to build on the successes of last year and with his sights set firmly on competing regularly at the front of the grid, Jewiss cannot wait to get back on track alongside Douglas Motorsport once more.
“I am really excited about taking on the BRDC British F3 Championship once more alongside Douglas Motorsport. Thanks to a lot of their help and support, I learnt so much about the Championship last year and I’m convinced we can use that to good effect in 2020.”
“I have always had a great relationship with the whole team and we got the car into a great place together toward the latter part of last season. The challenge this time round is to pick up where we left off and start the season strong. As always in BRDC British F3, the competition is going to be incredibly tough, and there’s a few new changes to the car but I’m as motivated as ever to have the best year possible.”
Wayne Douglas, Team Principal of Douglas Motorsport, is delighted to be working with Kiern once more and is convinced that the partnership can reap even better results moving into 2020.
“Last year was a really important one for Kiern. He has had great success in every season so far and you only have to look at how he finished 2019 to see that last year was no different. In Kiern we know we have a driver capable of winning races regularly - now it is up to all of us to work as hard as possible together to do exactly that.”
MB Partners CEO, Mark Blundell, sees 2020 as an opportunity for Kiern to build on the learnings and experiences of last season to deliver a real statement of his abilities.
“Kiern and Douglas Motorsport have already proven themselves as a winning combination and I’m in no doubt that this can prove to be the case once more in 2020. In every season so far in cars, Kiern has always been one of the youngest drivers on the grid whereas this year will be a little different. Kiern is as naturally talented as they come but I think he matured a lot as a driver last year and I’m hoping we will see the results of that this coming season.”
Following the team’s pre-season testing programme, Jewiss will be returning to the track in April (11th-13th) at the BRDC British F3 season opener at Oulton Park.
