Strong performance at Thruxton for Kanato Le

THRUXTON

ROKiT BRITISH FORMULA 4 CHAMPIONSHIP - ROUND FOUR

3-4 JUNE 2023

  • Kanato Le recorded another strong performance in the ROKiT British F4 Championship, as he secured a healthy points haul at Thruxton Circuit, to remain 4th in the drivers' standings.

  • The weekend would be kickstarted with positive running in the two free practice sessions on Friday as Kanato and the team looked to dial in the setup ahead of the all important qualifying session, with P8 and P4 respectively.

  • In Saturday's qualifying session, Kanato would secure P6 on the starting grid with his fastest flying lap and P4 on the grid for the opening race of the weekend with his second quickest time.

  • Race one saw Kanato battling with the tightly bunched leading pack, as the high-speed nature of the track allowed little room for error, taking the chequered flag in P6.

  • The second race of the weekend saw the reverse grid draw with Kanato starting P18.

  • In the race that followed, Kanato would showcase his talent and confidence in the car, to charge through the field to P5 at the fall of the chequered flag, gaining 13 places in the process.

  • After the fantastic performance of race two, Kanato was looking to finish the weekend strongly, as he ran in P6 for the majority of the race.

  • Unfortunately a puncture for the front right tire with just under two minutes remaining would prevent him from rounding out the weekend on another high.

  • After this weekends' action, Kanato remains 4th in the drivers' standings on 100 points.

  • Next up for Kanato is the undulating and testing Oulton Park circuit on the 17-18 June.

"Another positive weekend for us at Thruxton with some good points on the board! We had the pace for a podium and the win but it was a bit difficult to move up places, but the car still felt great and my confidence is growing with each passing round. It was a shame about the puncture in race three as it would have been fantastic to finish all three races in the points and reward all the efforts of the team! Massive thanks to everyone at Hitech and to MB Partners, Elliot Harvey and my family for continuing to support and believe in me. Roll on Oulton!"
