SNETTERTON
ROKiT BRITISH FORMULA 4 CHAMPIONSHIP - ROUND THREE
20-21 MAY 2023
Another strong weekend for Kanato Le saw him claim another podium finish in round three of the ROKiT British F4 Championship at Snetterton
After showcasing fantastic pace in the opening practice sessions of the weekend, Kanato would then record his best qualifying result of the season as he finished the session in second place
This result meant that Kanato would secure a front row start for race three with his fastest lap and P3 on the grid for race one with his second fastest time of the qualifying session
Race one saw Kanato launch off the line and challenged for the lead in the opening stages before a lengthy red flag period nullified the race
After showcasing his speed in the opening race, Kanato would start P20 after the reverse grid draw for race two
Kanato would utilise his speed and confidence in the car to make up eight positions, taking the chequered flag in P12
The final race of the day would see Kanato once again starting on the front-row of the grid, and claim P2 at the flag for his second podium finish of the season
Following the results of round three, Kanato now sits 4th in the drivers' standings on 76 points
Up next for Kanato is the high-speed Thruxton Circuit for round four of the ROKiT British F4 Championship on the 3-4 June
"Securing another podium finish this weekend feels fantastic! We showed some great pace from the very beginning and claiming P2 in qualifying for my best result so far, gave me all the confidence I needed to battle it out at the front of the field. We could have had another second place finish in race one, but finishing the weekend on a high with the podium in race three was a great way to round out the day. A massive thank you to the entire team at Hitech GP as the car felt brilliant all weekend and to Elliot Harvey and MB Partners and my family for their continued support!"
