Tom Blomqvist and TPS charge forward in all-electric FIA eTouring Car World Cup

MB Partners are delighted to announce an exciting partnership between Tom Blomqvist and Taylor Project Services LLP (TPS) as the Brit joins the all-electric FIA eTouring Car World Cup with CUPRA EKS.

Embracing a new, sustainable way of motor racing, the FIA eTouring Car World Cup is the world’s first all-electric touring car series, featuring some of the biggest manufacturers on the planet.

Racing with the reigning champions, CUPRA EKS, Tom is in the midst of an electrifying season of racing in an exciting and innovative new format of competition - featuring the very latest in electric technology racing in a rallycross-style series.

Tom’s CUPRA e-Racer boasts a top speed of 272km/h, delivers up to 500kW of power, peak torque of 960Nm and reaches 12,000 RPM with the equivalent of 680bhp - all whilst producing zero emissions.

Striking a natural synergy with their own drive for sustainable technologies, TPS are excited to strengthen their relationship with Tom further and partner with the Brit on an exciting year ahead.

“Sustainable development is at the heart of everything we do here at TPS,” Gerry Taylor, a partner at TPS said. “It was naturally very exciting to see Tom’s involvement with the all-electric ETCR series. The alignment between Tom, TPS and ETCR is very clear and we look forward to continuing to make great strides in our sustainable technologies.”

“TPS and Tom have enjoyed plenty of success together over the years and we look forward to carrying that on as he joins the FIA eTouring Car World Cup. As a business, we are continuing to make advances with our sustainable development work - so it’s even more exciting to join Tom on this new adventure.”

Off to a successful start in Pau, Tom claimed victory in the Quarter Final followed by two second-place finishes in the Semi Final and DHL Super Final to end the weekend third overall with his first visit to the podium. Buoyed by his strong start, Tom is very pleased to continue his long-standing relationship with TPS into 2022 as the pair aim for further success.

“I’m delighted to continue working with TPS as I join the FIA eTouring Car World Cup. They’ve played a huge role in my success to date and I really look forward to carrying their name with pride throughout the season.”
