Tom Blomqvist announced as new Panasonic Jaguar Racing reserve driver

MB Partners are delighted to announce that 26-year-old Tom Blomqvist will join the Panasonic Jaguar Racing team as their Reserve Driver for the remainder of the 2019-20 ABB FIA Formula E Championship.

It marks a welcome return to the series in which Tom last took part in the 2017-18 championship, with MS&AD Andretti Formula E Team, competing in six of the season’s races with a best finish of P8 in Marrakech.

The series is ramping up towards a climactic end to the season, with a truncated calendar seeing all six of the remaining ePrix run at Berlin Tempelhof Airport, on three separate circuit layouts.

The team currently sit third overall in the Team’s Championship and tasted success earlier in the season when Mitch Evans won the Mexico City ePrix.

Tom will be on hand to support the team across all six races - compressed into just nine days in the German capital - and is looking forward to returning to the Formula E paddock.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the team at Panasonic Jaguar Racing as their Reserve Driver,” Tom said. “It’s been a couple of years since I was last in Formula E so I’m really looking forward to getting started with the team and using my prior experience in the championship.”
