DONINGTON PARK GP
ROKiT BRITISH FORMULA 4 CHAMPIONSHIP - ROUND NINE
26-27 AUGUST 2023
Kanato Le secured a trio of points finishes in round nine of the ROKiT British F4 Championship at Donington Park.
The opening track action on Saturday would see Kanato qualify in P12 with his fastest time and P10 with his second fastest time, setting the grid for races one and three that were to follow.
Saturday's racing would get underway with Kanato looking to make up positions, and he would find himself battling hard with his competitors, climbing several places to take P8 at the fall of the chequered flag.
The second race on Saturday afternoon would see the completion of round seven from Snetterton and Kanato, starting P3, would get off the line well and place himself firmly in the running for the podium positions, however a track limits penalty would see him drop down the order to P8 when the race reached its conclusion.
In the reverse grid race that followed on Sunday morning, Kanato would start from P10 on the grid, but would take the chequered flag in P13 after a closely-knit battle with his fellow competitors on track.
The final racing action of the weekend, taking place on Sunday afternoon, Kanato would start from P11 and make up two positions by the end of the race to finish P9, rounding out the weekend with yet another points finish.
Following Donington Park, Kanato now occupies P7 in the drivers' standings on 183 points.
Next up for Kanato will be the final race of the season at Brands Hatch GP on the 7-8 October as he looks to finish his maiden season in single-seaters on a high.
"A disappointing weekend for us at Donington, as I just didn't quite have the pace to challenge for better results all weekend long. To secure some points finishes is a positive to take away from this weekend, and my thanks go out to the team at Hitech GP and everyone involved. I'll be looking to finish the season strongly at Brands Hatch at the beginning of October!"
