The FIA Formula 2 championship took to the streets of Baku, Azerbaijan, for the sixth round of the season
A solid start to the weekend saw Jake qualifying in 10th place in Friday's session - rewarding him pole position for Saturday's reverse-grid Sprint Race
In Saturday's race, a misjudgment with the car setup saw Jake struggle but he was able to avoid the carnage that ensued around him and finished P9
Starting in P10 for Sunday's Feature Race - Jake displayed another solid performance behind the wheel and finished where he started in 10th place
Heading to his home race at Silverstone (1 - 3 July), UK, Jake sits 16th in the championship standings with 15 points
"A mixed weekend really! I was very happy with P10 in qualifying as we were not in a good place in Practice but we recovered very well to be able to be in the top 10 and get the reverse grid pole position. However, we simply got the setup wrong for the first race so couldn't maximise from pole but managed to bring it home in P9. Sunday we finished in the points with P10 which is a solid result! It could have been a lot better but could have been much worse - getting hit on the SC Restart destroyed my floor so it was just about survival after that. Now I can't wait to get back out at my home event at Silverstone which is always an amazing event!"
