Callum Ilott Austria FIA Formula Two Round One
Jake Hughes Austria FIA Formula Three Round One
Preview: 03 - 05 July 2020
This weekend marks the first round of the Formula One season and in doing so, also marks the commencement of the #RoadToF1 feeder championships with Callum Ilott and Jake Hughes getting their campaigns started at the Red Bull Ring, Austria.

Callum Ilott - FIA Formula Two, Round One, Austria
Callum Ilott returns to the FIA Formula Two grid this year for his sophomore year in the championship. Finishing 11th in the standings last year, and as the highest placed Ferrari Driver Academy member, Ilott will be looking to get his campaign off to a strong start as he has his sights firmly set on the championship title.
This weekend will be Callum’s first race with his new team after he joined the Norfolk-based, UNI-Virtuosi Racing squad to partner Guanyu Zhou in what is being dubbed the strongest driver line-up on the grid in 2020.
“I’m really excited to be back in the paddock this week and to be working with the Virtuosi team on our first race weekend together. The aim this weekend is to get off to as best of a start as possible and leave no points on the table. The grid is ultra-competitive this year but I’m ready for the challenge and can’t wait to hit the track for the first time.”

Jake Hughes - FIA Formula Three, Round One, Austria
Jake Hughes returns to the FIA Formula Three Championship for his second year with the HWA RACELAB team. The highest-placed returnee from 2019, Hughes will be looking to put his experience to good use this weekend and replicate the race-winning form that saw him reach the top step on his previous two trips to the Red Bull Ring.
“After the delayed start to the season, it feels fantastic to finally be able to say that it's race week again! To kick the season off in Austria is a real confidence boost for myself and the team as this is where we picked up our first-ever win in the championship last year. I've always recorded good results on my trips to the Red Bull Ring so the aim for this weekend is to hit the ground running and get the season off to a strong start.“
