MBP is delighted to announce today (Monday 4th December) that Karen Zachary, CEO of CRUX Asset Management, has joined its Board of Directors as a non-executive director. Zachary joins Theo Paphitis, Mark Blundell, Ian Childs and Alex Watts on the board of the relationship-driven sports marketing agency.

Zachary has enjoyed a distinguished career holding senior and executive roles across asset management and the world of finance for over 25 years, holding her current CEO position with CRUX Asset Management since 2020 having originally joined the firm in 2015 as COO. Recently she led and negotiated the sale of the CRUX business to Lansdowne Partner LLP. The transaction closed in mid August and Karen will remain active in a senior role for Lansdowne moving forward.

The appointment comes as the agency looks to continue its strong growth and strengthen its position in the marketplace as a major player in the sports marketing industry. The UK-based agency has enjoyed a remarkable rise in recent years and boasts a client list containing some of the world’s most prominent professional racing drivers and largest brands including the likes of HP, Intel, Gallagher and Convera to name just a few.

Having initially worked with MBP as a member of the company’s Official Partner Programme, the appointment of Zachary to the board sees the relationship come full circle as she becomes MBP’s first-ever non-executive director.

Zachary said: “I am thrilled to be joining the team at MBP at such an exciting time in the company’s journey. The agency has grown hugely since my first interaction and I am looking forward to working with the rest of the board of directors as we kickstart the next chapter of MBP.”

Chairman of MBP, Theo Paphitis comments: “Karen is someone we have known for a long time and with whom we have an effective and trusting relationship. She has enjoyed great success across her career and as we herald the next chapter of MBP, now is the perfect time to add a fresh perspective to our board.”

Mark Blundell, CEO of MBP adds: “I am very proud to welcome Karen onboard as the agency’s first-ever non-executive director and I look forward to working with her more closely. We find ourselves at an exciting moment in our agency’s growth and the addition of Karen will ensure we continue to drive forward.”
